Thank you for visiting Poopasnuffas™! The brand exploded on to the scene in 2006 with a handful of bright, colorful characters designed to make you smile and melt your heart. Whether it is the characters themselves, or the child’s imagination inspired by them, they are sure to be seen in the far corners of the world. PooPooMonkey™, PooPooDragon™, PooPooPuss™, PooPooPooch™ and PooPooPotamus™ were brought to life by the enchanting artwork of Kelly Barnett and the delightful stories created by our Poopasnuffas storytellers. Don’t forget the Chief Executive Ant and Poopasnuffas mascot PoopasnuffAnt! Please enjoy the characters and trying to SAY the name Poopasnuffas…it kind of tickles!
ABOUT THE ARTISTS
Kelly Barnett: Character Artist
“Art makes people happy. I want to make people happy, too. So, I make happy art”. Indeed he does! His education includes a cross-country tour via the Art Center in Pasadena, California, Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah and William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri. Kelly Barnett’s artistic background includes 12 years as a greeting card artist with Hallmark Cards. For the past 6 years, he has been an artist for zak designs®, where they make licensed cups, plates and silly straws for kids. There is no coincidence that PooPooMonkey is purple. PooPooMonkey is his favorite character and purple is his favorite color! Kelly lives in Spokane, Washington with his wife and 2 sons, making happy art.
Caleb L.: Storyteller
Caleb calls Gilbert, Arizona home. He is 7 years old, in the first grade, and his favorite hobbies are drawing, riding his bike, swimming, and anything related to Star Wars. His favorite animal is a leopard (he wants to write a Poopasnuffas story about one) and he loves rock, rap and old country music. When he grows up, he wants to be an artist, firefighter and design characters/costumes for Hollywood movies. He would really like to write a children’s book, maybe based on the Poopasnuffas characters! Caleb develops his character stories by staring at the picture for a long time and discussing what he thinks that character might be like in a free-flow of ideas with his parents Barry and Jennell and his little brother Brandon. Once the character concept is complete, Mom provides the typing service. Caleb is a story-telling prodigy. Garrison Keillor, look out!
Kayla W.: Storyteller
Kayla is a totally awesome middle-schooler who loves Harry Potter, AVP volleyball and eating sushi. The one person in the world she would like to meet is J.K. Rowling (Harry Potter author). Her favorite color is periwinkle and her favorite Poopasnuffas character is PooPooPotamus. One day she hopes to become a marine biologist and a writer. She loves animals and will one day be responsible for saving them.
Skylar K.: Storyteller
Skylar is a fun loving girl who lives in Overland Park, Kansas. She is a 10 ˝ year old fifth grader and loves spelling. Her favorite hobbies are swimming, soccer, softball, and basketball. She has one dog, a cat, and two leopard geckos. She loves watching Hannah Montana, and The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, playing with her friends and riding her bike. She also likes playing in the snow and rain! She wants to be a surgeon or singer when she grows up.
Giana S.: Storyteller
Giana S. is an imaginative 12 year old girl from Valencia, California. She is in the seventh grade and loves to read books by Judy Blume. When Giana grows up, she would like to work with animals. Her favorite animal is a monkey. She is a very caring girl with lots of talents and a wonderful heart. Giana loves being in front of the camera. Recently, she was on the tv show “Desperate Housewives” and had the incredible opportunity of working background, alongside Eva Longoria. “Working on the set was really fun!! Even though I didn’t have a speaking part, it was really cool to be a part of a hit TV show and to be able to meet Eva Longoria!” Giana’s favorite teen actress is Disney Channel’s Miley Cyrus.
Eva T.: Storyteller
Eva T. hails from Chandler, Arizona. She is 12 years old, in the 7th grade and would like to be a dentist. "Dental gives people firmed and beautiful smiles. I want to make every one who has been afraid to show their smiles a chance to shine their beauty." Eva loves to help, and makes others happy. Being a dentist is what she always dreams of even though it is a far way to go. She doesn't know that much about being a doctor or dentist, but she declared that for sure, she'll explore and learn as much as needed to make her a good and useful dentist. Besides searching for some of the techniques that are related to dentistry, Eva also enjoys playing volleyball and basketball. She loves being athletic and is someone who would help her school scores something. These are the things that build Eva's life, enrich her ways towards the future for herself and others.
